The article describes the software support for the popular I2C sensor Bosch BME280 in the ESP-IDF framework environment for the target microcontroller platform ESP32 from Espressif Systems. The article points out compatibility, creation of own - user name for configuration of I2C terminals of MASTER microcontroller, choice of clock signal or communication address, including operating mode of Bosch BME280 sensor. Based on the mode, the measurements are averaged and more accurate, which, however, requires higher electricity consumption. The FORCED communication mode allows the sensor to be used in Ultra Low Power applications at the expense of measurement accuracy.
